How is the clutch pedal meant to sit? HELP

Hi all just wondering, i have a VR with a T5, i recently bought a pedal spring that pushes the pedal up, now my pedel is "unadjustable" so does the GM spring push the pedel to the floor or and i adjusting it incorrectly?? Thanks

From memory if spring is working pedal hits floor with clutch cable removed otherwise incorrectly fitted or broken.

You adjust cable at clutch fork untill pedal is at correct measurement to floor with tape measure...different height for v6 & v8

Alright so it is meant to go down not up, ill upload a picture of a gm spring to we can see if it will be correct

Vaguely remember google diagram or one posted on forum was incorrect but if you fit your head under you'll see the wear marks on pedal how the original was fitted before it broke.

You notice broken spring when pedal pops up hitting bracket at bottom of dash...has no takeup feel,adjust cable it still feels same.

Got cramped trying to change that thing but worth the effort!!!!
