Chisholm institute of tafe in dandy is a bitch for that too, i know a guy who cracked his gearbox case on one there and i dont think the car was lowered.
the only reason u really need shockers it so that the springs cant fall out of the car bounces, if the springs can fall out then it can be deemed un roadworthy.
plus if you do the shocks it will ride nicer, i have lowered my car just with springs (superlows) im happy with the height, any lower and it would be impractical for a daily driver. however i havent changed the shocks, it has given me a great appreciation for how S.HIT australian roads really are.
with the super lows i can jack it up and the springs dont fall out, however i think a mate of mine with ultras said his do, so definatly look at doing the shocks
