VSII Calais supercharged
Hi all, I read a post in the VN/VP group asking how many k's their car had racked up and I thought it might be interesting to see how many k's are on peoples VR or VS, and what problems have people had in that time?

Ok, mine in a Dec 95 VS with 355,000Km. Had the water pump replaced 12 months ago, Apart from the usual services, I can't really think of anything 'major' that has gone wrong. Although the power steering rack needs replacing very soon... The top neck on the radiator broke off... Obvious plastic parts deteriorating due to age and heat.. The brake discs are machined down as far as they'll go so they could need replacing in the next 18 months. The drivers seat broke and found a replacement at a wreckers. But the engine still runs like a dream... My only regret is that I have neglected the auto transmission to the point where I hadn't had it service for nearly 200,000k's... Serviced it myself last weekend and still runs perfect. I consider myself very lucky. What about everyone else's experience?
Cheers.

Just thought I should update this... I sold the VS exec in February 2006 for $2300 after I bought the s/c VS calais. At the time of sale the exec had 387,000k's on it and needed a new diff. Thats it. Everthing else still original and working great except burning oil due to worn valve stem seals.

95 VS with 253000km runs like a dream! it runs better now thn when i got it with 130000km on it! No major dramas, just the regular little things that wear out over time. I think the most expensive thing i had done was a $450 gearbox service by holden, followed by $90 for a crank angle sensor.

my VR now has 212,000kms. did 25,000 in 5 months! only problems ive had are, the water pump died, and my trans only shifts gears when it feels like it! i reckon its got about a month before it blows. other than that, its great!

My '93 VR acclaim has done 59,000 kms. That's the main reason i bought it.

VS Berlina S1
Bought my August '95 VS Berlina exactly 2 months 2 days ago (2nd February). Had 174,813 kms on it when purchased. I know that all the bushes were replaced, leak in the power steering was fixed, front two disc rotors were replaced, back two disc rotors were machined and was fully serviced. Two months later I've had no problems (touch wood!) and is now up to 177,382 kms.
