I am selling my VS sedan but before I put it on the market I would like to get everyone's opinion of how much its worth, it has 17 inch Simmons rims, V6, the transmission was rebuilt 12 months ago but it hasn't been driven for 8 months and the panels are straight but some clear coat at the back is coming off. The things that need fixing are:

Front windscreen has some small stone chips I'm not sure if small chips make it un-road worthy
Lower alternator bolt thread renewed and bigger bolt, the one that goes through the tensioner
The radio plug wires were cut fairly short from the loom
Tyres
Alternator brushes are low
Indicator stalk needs replacing
Roof lining needs replacing
Clips to hold sun visors x2
Long black piece of plastic with a white indicator to show what gear your in where gear selector is
Back seat has a small rip needs sewing
Ash tray needs replacing

Good things:

Transmission rebuilt 12 months ago hasn't been driven for 8 months
150,000 km on clock
Simmons 17 inch rims
Not lowered

Condition not known:

Air conditioner
Shocks and struts
Brake pads
Battery

What would the rims be worth on their own

No roadworthy so 500 to 1000 dollars.
Needs a lot of work.

You don't say anything about the condition of the motor and you don't indicate whether it is registered, or if not, how long out of rego. In some states if it has lapsed for long she might never get back on the road again(legally).

Going back 12 months or so, I looked at a VS, that was in a lot worse condition than yours....It had 350,000+ on it....The interior was tatty as all get go....Body had clear peel everywhere....The owner had been doing burnouts in it (evidence under the rear guards and lower rear quarters)...15" steel wheels..It drove like a pig as well....He was asking $900...I offered him $200 and that was generious

Yours...Not really knowing VIC pricing, anywhere from $1,500 to $2,500 with wheels, judging by 2nd hand prices for these at this stage...

V6 Executive sedan, with no rego or roady, and rough paint, could try for a $1000 but be lucky I think. I paid $150 For my wagon, in similar condition, no rego and needed roadworthy. Only difference was steel rims and old tyres.
