pull lever down under steering column
raise wheel up and out as far as they will go
in center of column underneath at back remove philips head screw
prise the plastic covers apart and remove top half first
to remove the bottom cover slide back towards wheel and lower down
now you will have a good view of lever assembly
remove the two wiring adaptors (the one i did had cruise control)
locate the two black clips holding the lever assembly in place and squeeze them towards eachother (there is one at the top of the assy and one at the bottom) and slide out.
when putting new one in make sure to line up in the locating slots provided.
installation is a reversal of above.
if you dont feel secure with working with airbags remove battery lead
hope this helps
