how similar was VN/VP to Opel Omega?

From what I have read, it seems only the door shells were the same.
Anyway I just saw that somebody in Brazil was making fake bodykits to turn an old Omega
into the legendary Lotus Turbo model (lookalike). Seems strange, as I doubt many of that model found their way to South America.
Just a thought, if you had a dark green Commodore, and managed to bolt on all the bits, you might get some puzzled looks.

SS Commodore - Ford Territory ... both camps
Holden spent a lot altering the Opel Omega to make VN. In the end it differed in styling, dimensions (wider), drivetrain and interior. One big expense was splitting the body shell down the centre and increasing width by 38mm at a cost of $50m approximately.
