How to adjust VC outter door handles

Hi there
I've tried everywhere but can't seem to find any info on how to adjust the outter door handles on my VC Commodore. Feels I have to nearly pull the handles off the doors to open them. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

There is a bar that goes inbetween the door handle and latch that is adjustable.

Disconnect it, wind it upwards and reconnect it....
