Nice cover up dude, loved the material you used to fix it up. There won't be any more signs of rust now. :p
No he hasn't fixed the rust. Hopefully since the rust was painted etc. The Battery will be sitting on another layer of metal on top, the rust won't develop any further.
Might have been an idea to spray the rust affected area with zinc first then top coat.
All good, nice job.

yeah umm i did see the rust hasnt been fixed it was a poor attempt at humor that didnt convey well over the internet.

It wouldnt be the dodgey method if he fixed it properly
