How To: Change a VF Steering Wheel

Can i ask has anyone attempted this lately..... or any chance of a youtube instruction vid for us lazy noobs?! I would love to chance my steering wheel to one of these :boxing:

I did mine today.

-Tighten the bolts holding the horn mechanism all the way, they bottom out and don't take up all the travel.
-Clock spring is fairly loose (moves easily), I put a little masking tape on it to stop it turning too much. Check to make sure the loop of ribbon cable is still in the little inspection window before refitting the wheel.
-The hardest part was swapping the controls between wheels. Slow and steady with a trim removal tool.

easy as to do, just the 50T was tight otherwise all good

If it wasnt for the tight T50 torx bolt, I think I would have swaped it all over in under 10mins.

How much did Holden charge you to program the paddles ? Ive been quoted $150 which is perhaps steep for a 5min job labor time?

ok so just a question, wanting to do this on my VFII which has push button. How do I turn the steering wheel if there is no power and without the steering lock coming on?

I had the key in the ignition and tune it straight and it's so easy

Wives tale about SRS deploying by themselves & no need to pull fuses or battery.
Done many Holdens without disabling SRS.
