I read somewhere once to discconect the negative cable on the battery, my battery is in the boot. I'm not sure about that.

Take note of belt orientation before you take it off. Good idea to draw up a small diagram

If you have an owners manual it will probably have the belt diagram in it somewhere. Earlier V6 owner manuals did anyway.

Water pump is probably one of a handful of things that remains an easy job done in traditional ways.

The cooling does need to be bled though. I have a home made tank that fits into the filler. Pinch off the overflow hose. I fill the makeshift tank, and run/idle the car through a few thermostat opening cycles to get the air flushed out. It bubbles up wonderfully. Have done this on Commodores since VN.
Then pop the cap on and top up the reservoir.
I posted a link with photos somewhere.

*Edit* I have just done a huge search to find the photos I posted, but can't find the posts. I think it was a part of a cooling thread a few months back.
I posted photos of the cheap rubber fittings I found at Bunnings to seal things up. Can't find the posts anywhere.
