How to check if you have LSD?

Hey guys,

I have a sv6 my09 model and was told by the dealer when i picked it up that it had the lsd installed... now i wanna know id hes liein or not.. how can i check? apart from trying to sit on the brake....

any help would be great

put a trolley jack under the diff, lift until both wheels are off the ground, spin one wheel and see if the other follows its direction

pop the bonnet and look on the vin plate should have a section stating axel: with 3 numbers after it post what it says.

the sv6 has a lsd as standard.

also check the diff tag, which is attached to the diff drain bolt. it should say LSD.

no it doesnt, its an option. Its about $330 or something

The LSD is an option on the SV6 according to the Holden options

ANYWAYS moving onto a fun way to find out, put her in 1st, foot on the break, slowly accelerate....:driving:

you'll know if its lsd

foot on brake + acceleration = ABS kicks in and you cant do squat. When i was down the track last time i thought id get some heat in the rears. rev to 4k, dump, on brakes = fail

You are on the brakes to hard then... slight touch of the brakes traction off, hit the gas...
