My transmission is changing quite roughly. It's clicking lightly and sometimes heavily from Park to Reverse.
Mechanic gave my Transmission the all clear 100% working well. He also said his checked the transmission fluid. But I've had someone else test drive my car, and they even said what I know that the Transmission is like a bit sticky and a few clunking and clicking noises. We are trying to check transmission fluid. Any help!!!???

assuming 5 speed
on the left side of the transmission towards the rear there is a torx bolt
just loosen this bolt
then start engine, remove bolt with engine running, should be filled to this level
if you want to check the color
with engine off remove torx bolt, dont let too much fluid out unless you have dex vi to top up
as before level is to be filled to plug with engine running, temp at 50 degrees

It's not a fluid issue I think. If a mech checked and there's fluid in there even if he did not follow procedure he surely saw oil there which indicates a tranmission fault.
Likely a valve is not moving fast enough or the pump is not pressurising.

you have to be very low on oil level for the pump pressure ratio to drop enough to cause issues.

Some have a rubber grommet on the top of the trans sump. As long as the fluid is warm (not hot) and it dribbles our the top, it’s all good.

Flick through to near the end for the plug and fluid check.

2008 would most likely be the 5 speed
