how to divert power steering fluid

i wouldnt use the multimeter to do the check engine light.test the red wire at the dfi plug for 12 volts key on as long as it has power there and its earth and the cas is plugged in it should spark even if the ecu isnt powering up

i no i have cut that wire and e9 now is feed by a4. the efi relay is fine and the injectors have power it does smell fuely how do i check its got spark oh and the check light can i youes the volt meter to check that
this might be a bit beter to read

just slap a plug in a lead and sit it on the engine and crank it over and look for spark

if injectors have power then the dfi should as well uses the same wire

DFI is the flat plastic peice under the coils with the long plug going into it should be a red wire CAS is the crank angle sensor that is behind the balancer with plug on the passenger side of the balancer (big round black thing on the end of crank)

ok i have power to dfi red wire closest to the front i cant realy get to the cas theres not as much room as a commo but i started the engine befor i took it out
