Hey all ive spent 2hrs searching through threads looking for a post that had LSD identification numbers, but i cant find it anywhere. Does anyone know where its located?
I bought a LSD and just want to confirm its LSD as i read somewhere the highperformance tag doesnt mean squat. It has two tags one mainly a compliance tag the other has P/N: 92041929 . When i spin the hub both turn the same way but when i search the tag number nothing shows up also will it fit me 2004 vy ecotec

I think the p/n is only for the diff housing.

Is there a factory label with a 2 letter code on it and ratio etc?

An easy way is to Hold one of the Hubs and turn the Yoke of the Diff,
If Both Hubs want to turn the same way, chances are its a LSD,

If you turn the yoke, and are holding one of the hubs, other one turns, its a Non-LSD. [aka: Single Spinner]

If both hubs turn forward when you turn the pinion then it has to be an LSD or it's locked. If one does not spin or spins backwards it still can be a LSD just a worn out one.

I do this test by jamming my foot under one side of the diff and put my hand on the other while spinning the pinion with my last avaliable hand. This is with diff out of car ofcourse.
