- VE series Z ute
Hi all, have got a VE SV6 Z series black ute... and my first post here.
have bought a set of removable Ladder racks for a VE ute (yes both are removable)
The guy who sold them to me (nice retired guy).. could not really remember how they were fitted to his ute as he had replaced with hard lid a couple of years ago.
have spent days trawling the net to see how best to fit these racks.
my ute has a tub liner (and so do the other guy) and the bottom collar the bars fit into are screwed to a longish bar (i guess for stability).
i anticipate i will use Rivnuts (nutsert to some) (with a flange) to attach but not sure if i need to go through the tub liner (which almost comes up to top of tray on inside) so the flange holding liner down , or
do i put in the rivnuts/nutserts (non flanged) under the liner and then use the bolts to hold liner in place.
would live to find some instructions somewhere but nothing around that i can find.
help appreciated
