    Hi,

im about to buy a vt senator.

i was wondering how to id it as being genuine? the id plate is that the only thing? as one of these would be easy to repoduce.

is there any other way or any more signs etc so i know it is genuine?

    thankyou

Check the build plates under the bonnet, do a revs check, call HSV customer service or Holden.

The HSV plate will be the decider. They aren't easy to get hold of, only on a stolen car, but then the numbers wouldn't match up.

The VIN can also be checked by ringing HSV.

What wheels does it have? Being a series one it will be a 5L (195). If its manual it will be a 5 speed, not a 6 speed. Not sure if theres a noticeable difference between the auto's
