I think the Alloytec was introduced in the VYs in 2004 weren't they? I want to avoid those like the plague and would like to find out how to tell the difference?

On an online ad they pictured their VY's compliance plate, hard to make out ..

Thanks for the welcome & quick reply, Lex.

In the ad It states 2004 so VZs were introduced in that year? And no VYs had Allotec V6 engines fitted?

Slug powered VZ, Cross 8 VZ, VE Calais & ya mum.
The badge states LE0 is the engine, which is the low spec Alloytec dropped in the VE series.
2 cam sensors and inlet cam phasing but no exhaust cam phasing (or the other way around).
Doesn't have the variable flow inlet manifold or the LY7.

VZ started in 2004, with MY04 and 05, then changes to the Vz made MY 06 and 07.
