well as the tittle says if the car has been sitting around for a while like say 6 hours or more, or first start of the day etc, it takes approx twice as long to start as it does normally, personally i find it embarrasing it takes that long, or is something i will have to live with, from the age of the car,

im thinking it may be fuel pressure related, but if i turn the ignition on like 10 times for the pump to prime it only makes a slight difference,

so any ideas, all filters etc are new

Mine does the same thing. Once its warm it starts right up, or I go to start it after its only been off for a few hours it will start right up.....I've learned to live with it (but I wouldn't mind knowing what causes it:p )

    oil pressure switch :)

u've meantioned that priming the fuel rail makes no difference, so u can rule out ur fuel pressure regulator.. the fuel pump is wired thru the oil pressure switch, its about $20 from holden or $23 from repco, go genuine as my repco one failed to propperly fix it the first time round for me anyway.

cheap and simple, check and swap a few relays around and jus to see if that makes a difference..
