How to open door with DEAD battery?

Hi. I.ve got a 98 vt wagon and the battery is completely dead. I need to unlock/open the door to pop the bonnet to put in a new battery. Would anyone know how i can open it with no battery or open the bonnet without being able to pull the bonnet release? Help will be greatly appreciated, Gus.
