Hello Once again my car was recently vandalised and had super glue spread all over my drivers window and the black strip shown below. I used nail polish remover cause there was no glue on metal but only the glass and some on the black strip. After very quickly wiping away the small amount of glue on the black strip, the strip appears to be dull (damaged) in the area I used the acetone. Can anybody let me know if there is a way to re-polish this plastic piece which I wouldv thought would not have reacted to the acetone? Appreciated!
You can try to polish it out, my hopes aren't high. Acetone is a paint thinner in of itself, hence it's use with nail polish remover. Get something like this: Armor All Wax & Polish - 500ml, High Performance - Supercheap Auto Australia Clear coat safe polish, and see how you go with cleaning it up. That'd be my best bet anyway.
