How do you remove a thermostat from a 1999 supercharged v6 statesman i think i have to take the super charger off becuase there is no way to get to the thermostat housing (IT'S AT THE BACK OFF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD) and the inlet pipe(GOES STRAIGHT OVER THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING) from the throttle body has three bolts i have two off but there is one at the bottom and it's right against the fire wall??????? HHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm stumped!:bang:
i can't even see it unless i take off the throttle body (which i just did) now i can see one side of it? And one bolt sits directly under the intake pipe!
If you remove the boost bypass valve ( the round black plastic thing with a steel arm coming from it) that will help with access. 2 x 10mm bolts and remember the vacuum hose config. The super 6 engine has 3 bleed points and is a bitch if it's not bled properly. Because the thermostat bleed point is the highest point in the coolant system it will be the last one to retain air during the bleeding process.
