How to remove the genie extractor on driver side?

hi i want to clean the extractor while i am replace the gasket
i have already unbolt the extractor from both side but cant slide it out
which is different from what exhaust people said
do i have to remove the 2 bolts on steering colunm and slide steering column backward to get the extractor out?

you should be abel to remove the tube that gose around the steering colunm then you can get the lot out .

vt s pack manual
nahh its not that easy, you do have to drop the steering rack out man ive had to do it a few times. just undo it from the K frame and let it hang while you pull them out, make sure they are un bolted from the Y pipe aswell.

As above, undo the two bolts that hold the rack in, and undo the coupling on the steering shaft, then pull the rack backwards off the K frame and push it as far as you can to the right. The extractor comes out from the bottom.
