Can any one explain How to replace a engine Bash Plate Nut underneath a VZ?
I have purchased new ones but how do you fix them to /in the sub frame?
I imagine you drill out the old one. (What drill size?)
Push the new one in. But how do you secure it in place?
I would be greatful if you could help.

There is a special tool that squashes the tube side down towards the nut after the tube section has been fed through the hole, works a bit like a giant pop riveter.
I have fitted these using a combination of bolt and washer on the nut side and nut and washer on the tube side and then trying very hard to keep the whole thing straight in the hole turn the nut and slowly squash the tube down.
It must stay square or the rolled edge that the tube makes will squash into the hole and wont hold.
