Does anyone know who I would go about replacing the rear axle trunnion flange that has the wheel studs.
I see the flange part has a housing connected that looks to go through the suspension trailing arm but the housing part
that bolts to the axle look too large to go through the suspension trailing arm part.
I'm wondering if the trunnion flange might have a nut on the end of the shaft that goes through the housing marked X.

Wheel studs are on the trunnion assembly not on the flange.....Undo the shaft bolts, take trailing arm out of the car, using a vice,, grip the assembly and take the lock plate out then the collar nut, then you'll be able take the flange out from the back and assembly from the front.BUT,,,if you not going to replace the wheel bearing DO NOT take the trunnion assembly out, just leave it in.When you re-assembling things back on you HAVE to renew LOCK PLATE and COLLAR NUT.

Do you know if I could purchase new rear baxle trunnion assemblies.
Repco or Autopro, Holden just too expensive on most of there parts.

    Update 2.40am Tuesday 03.04.12
Both Repco and Autopro don't have a listing for them and they only have a listing for the axle bearing.
Holden has a listing and they will cost $379.00 each but I'm now purchasing a pair from a VY Commodore with 100,000 klms on the clock through our local wreckers for $330 a pair which will be removed from the vehicle.

    Update 07.04.12
I now have the pair from the wrecked VY, now to have the centres machined to suit the 16 x 7'' VE steel interceptor rims.

    Update26.04.12
Centres have been machined and will be installing then once the vehicle is back from having the roof repaired, a large limb feel on it during a storm at Xmas.
A 3 month wait to have it repaired $4,000 insurance claim and 3 weeks to complete the job.
