This is the process for the VE V8 (E38 ECM Reset) Not sure for a V6.

ECM reset.

Ignition off.
Pull ECM fuses. ( In the VE there is one where the battery is(little black box) and the other in the fuse box in the engine bay)
Turn ignition on (DO NOT START ENGINE) till the warning chimes sound.
Turn Ignition off.
Replace fuse/s.
Turn ignition on and check that all is OK.

Cheers

Yes, a few steps involved tho.

1. Tune the radio to 88.0 FM
2. With the key in and turned to acc put the interior light on
3. Pump the brake 4 and a half times
4. Turn the interior light off and at the same time open the glove box and the passenger side door
5. Take the hand brake off and put it in reverse
6. Now tune the radio to 107.6Fm
7. Pop the fuel cap while rubbing your nipples slowly
8. Now turn your car on and it will reset to 0

Easy as that!

I'd love to know if he actually tried this hahaha

Who knows. But just disconnecting the battery isnt going to the job every time and wont restore ALL factory settings.best off taking it to someone who can hook up to diagnostics eg. HOLDEN.....unless you got the program and connections to you pc/laptop and just do it yourself.
Easy as that.

There is a secret formula for this question I suggest you don't disconnect anything these cars are like an ATM machine 3 strikes and your out lol Off course Holden wouldn't have it any other way !

Yes you can. Using the tech2 there is a option to reset Ecu.
Why do you want to do this.
If your in Sydney I can do this for a small fee as I own a tech2
