I almost died of laughter today at the supermarket hearing kids say "LOL(as elle oh elle) thats so funny"

I heard the same thing today!! A girl in front of me today in Supre said LMAO-(as in- elle em aye oh) after her friend said something about what one of the staff were wearing.
What ever happened to actually laughing??

Can we please bring in a law that anyone who makes the word you plural, is shot? There is no such word yet at times I hear 'what are yous doing tonight?'

So common and tacky!

On a semi-related topic, the sort of mistakes below really annoy me:

1. Mixing up your and you're

2. Mixing up there, they're and their.

3. Using "brought" in place of "bought".

4. Advice/advise

5. it's / its

What do you mean mistakes they teach in school?

One thing I noticed at school was that formal teaching of spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc stopped in Year 8.

+10 To the OP for this thread. I cant stand American-English, especially MOM, it drives me up the wall, if someone writes me a text with MOM in it, I will not reply, most people know this by now.
Programming languages **** me to no end aswell, as you have to use American-English.

Another one is, its LICENCE, not License.

well these days yes...but I remember when doing English, right through to like year 10 if you put one of them in the wrong context you'd more or less be shot...
