i'm shore there a way around it without reprograming it. You see i have bought stolen recovered written off commodores in the past and in every case the BCM in vr/vs has bee cracked open or missing so there must be another way around it without reprograming it.:thumbsup:

I'm betting that way is to have a reprogrammed BCM handy to plugin in place of the original for the duration of the theft. Hence why its probly missing! when the car is recovered, they take it with em after plugging in thier reprogrammed one.

Why go the effort of modifying the bcm? If you are keen on pulling something to bits, go get a CR2032 battery, pull your key apart and solder it in place of the old one. I did it last week.

There is a simple way of overriding the immobilizer, which involves shorting a few wires together going into the BCM (only what I'v heard, never tried it though) buy noone on here will tell you how - because you could be looking to steal a one.

Commodores are by far the most stolen car in Australia according to government statistics - VN to VS top the list. That means they are easy to steal!

Hey ive bought a Hornet alarm system for my car which have the remote start feature but cannot use this because the immobilisers activates

any suggestions??
