Hi all,
I have a 99 vt wagon that has the series two lights, however it doesn't have any series two badges. Is there anyway I can tell if it was a geniuine series 2 or 1? Engine number? stamp on the memcal? I am hesitant to go with production date incase there was a lapse over on launch with engines and bodys etc
The reason I am interested is to do with possibly getting a mace memcal, I understand there was an updated tune with series 2 engines from holden and that the major improvments with a mace memcal are to the series 1 engines. However I am not hunting power gains, engine is stock standard running 91, just interested in better fuel economy and slightly better response and shift changes.
So is there a way to tell? and what are your thoughts on the mace memcal to a stock engine? it will stay stock aswell its just a daily driver.
