Going to the local wreckers today to look for parts, how would i tell the diff between my std rockers and a set of upgraded roller rockers? Will the ratio and brand be stamped in them or how do i tell? Cheers
Proper roller rockers will have a roller at the tip of the rocker where it pushes down on the valve. The standard rockers, and some of the cheap ass "so-called" roller rockers dont have the roller tip on them. (proper roller rockers such as yella terra will have roller tip as well as needle roller bearings in the fulcrum.)
Sweet just googled images n seen the diff. If i pull out the roller rockers, is there anything else i should pull at the same time that i will need?
if your just swapping rockers over it should be fine, it is highly advised you get new bolts as the stock ones are single use TTY
Aight sweet, sucks cos i couldnt find any hard to find many 6's with roller rockers in wreckers . Can i get them from an 8 or diff setup?
Just standard ratio roller rockers won't make much difference. Your chance of finding some are pretty slim.
