According to the manual it says....
Step 1. Tighten to 20Nm and then to 40 Nm
Step 2. Tighten a further 35 degrees plus 35 degrees plus 35 degrees

I don't get it, why tighten to 35 degrees 3 times? Why not just say tighten to 105 degrees??

I don't have a torque angle meter (can't find one) so how can i torque the bolts down to spec without tightening in degrees.
90 and 180 and 270 degrees i can handle without a torque angle meter but 35?? that's pretty precise.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!

Cheers!

At a guess, its torquing each bolt, in sequence, so the whole assembly is tight and even at all times.

Torque all bolts to 20 in the order specified, then all bolts to 40 in sequence, etc.. Keeps it flat so no 1 bolt is pulling the assembly uneven, which can give u a false reading.

You're be supposed to tighten them up in stages. ie bolt 1 to 35 degrees. Bolt 2 to 35 degrees. Bolt 1 to 70 degrees... etc
As far as angles go, get a permanent marker and draw a mark on the edge of the bolt and another on the cap at 35 degrees. Use a protractor if you like. Turn until the marks match up.

Using marks on the bolt heads may allow a lot of error. I'm not sure what the auto parts store situation is like in the UAE but the plastic protractor (^) should be easy to find (?). With some PVC water pipe or electrical conduit, some wire (like coat hangers used to be made from) and epoxy adhesive +/or duct tape +/or Blu-Tac surely you can knock up an angle gauge.

If the protractor isn't easy to find, paper, a rule and pen(cil) will be. Half of 90 degrees is 45, half 45 is 22.5 and half 22.5 is 11.25. 22.5 + 11.25 is 33.75 degrees, = ~35 degrees. You can find each of the halved angles by folding the paper over, starting from a (90 degree) corner, and trace the combined result onto a fresh sheet. Over 3 tightenings the difference is only 3.75 degrees (= 3 X 1.25). That's close enough (or you can guess the ~4 degrees if you want).

If you can't buy an angle meter print a protractor off google images and work it out like that. Unless you can't find a printer that is
