Hi all , I recently purchased a vs senator 215i , from what I know it has had an aftermarket exhaust , extractors ,100 cell cats and a mild cam....

What should I do next , as I would like to get this thing up to around 250 rwkw or 11.5-12 second qtr mile.

solid or aggressive hyd roller cam, compression, 4 barrel manifold, histall, diff gears, drag radials etc.

It's a collectors car, I'd be leaving it as original as possible but it's your car at the end of the day.

Harrop TVS2300 supercharger kit.

Will make power you want, maybe even run the you want ONCE...then start breaking **** left, right & centre eventually cost more than car.

Proper memcal tune to go with cam job, raised cr would be good but then you'll manifold, rollers etc so don't go near that lol

Decent sized stally & shorter diff gears is enough to make it a fun cruiser.

I agree you won't run 250rwkw with stock manifold.
Maybe as an option without pulling motor or changing the block:
- Vt heads (smaller chambers to raise comp) with some port work, bigger springs and machined for r/rockers
- cam it. Maybe a hydraulic roller.
- find a grpA mani from your pile of hens teeth
Then put your stock topend aside nicely for if it ever needs to return to stock.

Thanks for the comments gents,

Could I add a more aggressive cam , twin throttle bodies ,stally and diff gears with a tune would that get me close to 250rwkw

Not quite. More like 220rwkw or so. Low comp is a big factor.

Imo, if you’re chasing big power figures best to buy an ls powered Commodore. The 350 Holden engine is far cooler though.

Btw numbers don’t mean much in terms of performance on the road.

Yeah as per EYY, don't worry about rwkw fiqures. If you have huge torque fiqures, you will Definately be happy (except for your qtr mile goals.)
It will still be quick on the street.

My first rebuild got 210rwk
Included 355 stroke
Mild hyd cam-tie bar lifters
Roller rockers
2 1/2” single high flow cats
Come twin throttle body
2800 stall
3.45 true trac

Just added
bigger cam 2500 rpm-6200rpm
Ported heads-Higgins
3” DPE with high flow cats
3500 stall
Going for custom tune in a fortnight. Hasn’t been back in a dyno yet but I’ll let you know if I see increases. Definately nicer to drive.
From what I know 250rwk is not far off the limit for streetable without forced induction.
