Don't you remember the days of being impressed with the "massive" 180kw the HSV's were putting out? Earlier Brock Commodores were even, dare I say it, more pathetic. I have a comparison in an old Wheels magazine between a Group Three VH SS Commodore and an ESP Ghia...the SS put out, I think, 150 to 160kw...as for the 351 Cleveland-equipped Fairmont ESP Ghia, it put out only 130kw for Gods sake...nowadays a six cylinder Falcon or Commodore will piss all over what used to be "supercars"...not bad for family sedans weighing half a tonne more than those cars did.
...and back in the seventies and eighties we all thought we'd be driving little electric runabouts in the 21st century...
