Anyone retrofitted this to their Holden?

OTR is clearly better but wondered if possible.

Yes does fit, in terms of rigging in the actuator to work with HSV EDI on a Holden no.
Gives more engine bay room and sounds difference as no helmholtz chambers, I’ve seen it rigged open all the time.
You could hook into either muffler bimodal trigger else any number of interesting PIDs to tweak sound / opening.
Also don’t see why there would be more than marginal difference on our car vs OTR CAI.

If I had one of those HSV thingy's, I'd rip the flap out anyway.

@panhead thats exactly what I did bought the Clubsport/GTS bimodal air intake and just removed the flap leaving the hole. It didn’t really make any difference (insert shocked face here) but I do think the engine is getting cooler/ more air with it.

My plan was to make up a bit of ducting some where to feed cool air but I gave up on it and just left it alone.

Are you referring to the 340 intake or the LSA intake? I'm guessing both have the bimodal flap, but the pipe between the throttle and airbox are slightly different. The 340 intake has the resonators like the Holden cars, and the LSA intake does not.

I can't see a problem leaving it without ducting.

My E Series HSV pulls around 330kw at the wheels and it still has the stock air box and all the tuner did was drill a 3 inch hole in the bottom for more airflow and it works fine.

A Holden dealer did a similar thing to one of my early VE's before any OTRCAI were available, the only difference was they drilled two holes in the bottom and inserted two short round tubes.

They just sucked up the air they need.

I think you could knock out the same piece in the OEM airbox snout to same effect or am I missing something?

I ve been looking at them and it seems the opening on the bottom part of the airbox is larger too....i.e. where the duct meets the airbox...
