HSV binnacle gauges Reading high and not going back to start position!!

Hello, on my HSV R8 the battery voltage gauge went all the way to 16 volts yesterday and then after turning the car off it would drop to 10 Volts. Today its all over the place, and now the oil pressure gauge is reading max and also won't drop back down to the low position and reads all over the place.

Is this a fault with the gauges? has anyone had this happen?
