Picked this up as a daily while finishing my project VN Berlina..

185i Enhanced 304, Shift kitted auto, Worn LSD, 15x7's...

Paid $2200 for it. Plans are to put my V6 manual running gear into it, lower it, WL statesman front seats and a few other little mods and just make it a nice clean daily.

Nice,

But wait wait wait, you are taking a nice HSV enhanced vehicle and wanting to drop V6 running gear into it?

Are you mad? :)

Cheers.. It isn't the original engine anyway, so the whole originality is lost there..

Honestly its nothing special, its no Clubsport or anything..

I would keep the V8 init but the offer i have on the drive-line is half what i paid for the car, plus the illegal side of being on p plates..

Plus the stupid prices people ask for v6's these days, it kinda works out cheaper this way also.. HSV enhanced v8 wagon? $2200, manual v6 wagon? $3000+.. Go figure..

Has anyone ever gone v8-v6??? A lot of work, not worth it! Amount of time it will take may as well just buy one with a v6

Yeah as said above, it's a loooooot of work to change from a V8 to a V6, it's not as simple as just dropping the running gear in.

Problem is i had it up for sale, no one offered more then $2000.. Once i sell the driveline the total cost comes to $1200, then once its converted, maybe $1500..

Where can you find a manual v6 berlina wagon with 10 months rego, a brand new heavy duty clutch, recoed t5 and a full exhaust system for $1500?

Converting from a v8 to a v6 is pretty simple to be honest, not really a hard job when you know what you're doing..
