I agree the Maloo in VE/VF has a fairly ugly rear end. It's really just too much.

They did a huge amount better for Gen-F than Gen-E, in general.
For their VE restyles it was like they asked Homer Simpson to design them some wings & bumpers & flares & spoilers & skirts & intakes which would make the car look more sporty ... it was like they'd sent the designing off to the USA.

I think of the GenF, the Senator has by far the best bumper design.

Aggressive whilst understated. VF2 though has IMO the best over all.

The GTS front end is frankly ghastly IMO.

The GTSR makes it look a lot better, but not as nice as Senator.

The thing that gets me most styling wise for Gen F (and Calais) is the use of the bare matte plastic, unlike SS/SV6 in which it was painted phantom black. It wears so much nicer

I think so too, and the GTSR Maloo rear bumper is worse! A mate of mine has a nice VE SSV ute with a Maloo hard lid and sail plane and that looks good!
