I already think they are. Anything Pre VR is. besides the GTS-R, or maybe some limited builds like the SV99, but other than that, theres a HSV in every second caryard.

Just checked again & it is VE

Also, just spotted that there is a 4M above the engine number cast into the block, what does it mean?

Umm, where above the engine number? The pad for the engine number protrudes just far enough out from under the head to fit the engine number. Could it be a casting mark on the head? On the front of the block (just in front of the front intake manifold seal with the characters perpendicular to those for the engine number) there is a casting mark identifying the day month year and time the block was cast, but I don't think you can see that with the ancillaries on the engine, on mine i've got a couple of loom conduits in the way I think, I'll check in the morning.

Does anyone reckon that early low build HSV's...VNs and VPs in good condition would be a collectable in 20 or so years time?

Yeah, they've already got a bit of a cult following. I reckon it'll only gain momentum. Although I'm not sure if we'll still have petrol to run the damned things in 20 years time.

I think he's talking about the SV5000 in the hsv version of british racing green, it's the only thing I can think of that's sexy enough to make that much of an impression on someone
