So the current work being done is some general tidy up and some panel and paint:

Removed spoiler and rear bumper to tidy up scratched and chips..

Rear bumper is now on, stuck on a new tow ball for the shine factor..
Next is the sideskirt.. was a total b#$ch to get off (sikaflexed on plus the clips underneath were missing so that was glued on also)- so not looking forward to that job

I'm always scared of taking off bumpers coz I have the habit of breaking the plastic clips!

Went to the local wreckers to get the plastic screw plugs for the bumper, stabbed my fingers with a screwdriver- had a bootlid slam on my hand when the prop fell out holding the lid up.. Then I called in to Repco on the way home and F@#K- there they were sitting on the rack.. Brand new Scrivets as they are called.. Only plus with the wreckers is that I scored a near new boot seal rubber from a tidy Calais.

Had a VE HDT bonnet scoop fitted and also cut a hole in the bonnet for heat extraction

I plan to get this car converted to manual- will be going for a T5 as Im not keen on 6 gears plus the T5'5 are easy to replace if I pop one.. But that's later on down the priority list... but for now I thought I would buy bits and pieces that come up on special like the mint HSV pedals I scored and a brand new rubber gear boot. This led to me having to source another leather console insert which I modified to suit the upcoming manual box:
wasnt that fun cutting and fibreglassing the auto console~

Ok, so Ive attached my sideskirt and done the VT airbag swapover.. sideskirt was a b@#ch as the clips underneath didnt align up properly but its on now and good luck trying to get that sucka off again. The airbag swapover was pretty easy but I was still fairly nervous as I didnt want a facefull of airbag! I made sure the yellow plug and the positive battery terminal was disconnected before installation~

Apart from the HSV logo, I like how the horn is in the center as opposed to the outer edges before..
