Since the WM bored the **** out of me. I decided to buy a Senator on the weekend.

97 VS SII 185 Senator
Build 1002
Panther Mica
Leather
The rego papers from every owner since new, and possibly 90% of all receipts (the glovebox was full of paperwork)

Completely original except the exhaust and the side repeaters (clear VT styles). I got the original exhaust with the car so can go back on if needed.

After looking at some absolute shockers, and driving over 2,200km to melb to do so, I found a local original car as I got back into SA!

Side note - not sure what's going on in Vic, but when I hear 'clean' I don't think 'hail damage', 'runs well' apparently doesn't include brakes, and VR/VS Senators seem to get hit, and badly repaired on the front guards, but the owners never notice?

Back to the car I did buy...

Plans - mostly to stay original, but with a few touches of my designs.

replace the HSV sticker missing from back window,

got the last genuine RH taillight in SA, and waiting on the genuine LH to come from Rares this week to replace the faded reflectors

Tint the repeaters as I did on my old VR Calais so they blend away

Needs a buff, paint is original

Replace rubbers, bushes etc in front end, again, appears original and never replaced

Rooflining may need doing soon, the material is fine, but looks like the backing has come away slightly in the back. Perhaps a sutble HSV logo embossed on the new one.....

It has mint Senator rims, with a second set of scuffed ones also provided, means I quite like to keep them on the car, but at the same time, still keen for some VY Sen Sigs :)

this looks good, best color. leave it original.
im not surprised it was difficult to find a clean one.
peoples interpretation of 'clean' varies alot.
