If your moving it around a factory, just plug the belt in and sit on top of it. Job done, and you don't have to **** with any safety systems for when it is needed on the road.

Go to a wreckers and get the buckle bit from a seat belt clip it in whenever the car is being moved. But as people have been trying to say clip the seatbelt in, it doesnt matter if your in the car or not just do up the seatbelt,
and it will not chime,

The one thing I hate about my car is the bloody seat belt alarm. Can it be disabled by any means short of an act of god?

Understand this is an old post, but here is the answer.
I got a vy2 2003.
Behind the seat you will find a white connector which has a pair of wires going to the seat belt. Just disconnect this connector (disconnect battery first, just in case). Then you will not have the seat belt reminder beeping at you.
