hyrdraulic lifters?

just wondering if sereis 2 hydraulic lifters would fit in a series 1 as i have a spare set and mine are noisy

ok now another question, would a series 2 cam and lifters fit into a series 1?

i beleive mechanically it will fit however i do believe that holden changed the cam profiles from the s1 to the s2 and therefor you would probably need to change the MEMCAL also. if your going to the trouble of changing the cam/followers why not fit an aftermarket cam for some more grunt and get the engine retuned properly on a dyno:yeah:

cos that cost more money, i already have a good cam and lifers for it

that is exacly what i did, paid $40 for a running engine and just strip it for a rebuild, which will have a new cam lifters and a few other bits and pieces, and will be going into another car, so now i have spare lifters and cam, thats why i wanted to know if it would fit in ther series 1?
