Hell yeah Ixnay was awesome. Diddnt mind most of Smash. Americana was up there with the previous two, Conspiracy was borderline, then they lost it. I dont have faith in todays music anymore. I like to live in the past when things were real.
lol listened to commercial radio lately? commercial commercial commercial commercial commercial commercial commercial commercial - crappy chatter between the hosts for 20 minutes - commercial commercial commercial commercial -shitty song - repeat. or nova with no more than two ads in a row commercial commercial - 5 hours of the most boring... unfunny.... just plain CRAP - commercial commercial - 3 more hours of **** - one crappy song (aka pink - the same song they played 18 times earlier that day) i think this post is awesome. lol
Lol!! As another poster said, woolworths music is absolute rubbish; I remember one 11 hour shift where I heard Billie Pippers "Honey to the bee" 5 times that shift!!!
We get Rebel FM here as well, but Im not a real big fan of it. Also have 93.1 Sea fm and 93.9 Hitz fm. But they're not that good. Playing repetitive crap all the time. and its not good music either. The ususal suspects like Pink, Black eyed peas, Lady gaga, and Nickleback getting played over and over again. 93.1 used to be ok, but the last couple of years has gone downhill. You know its bad when you have to resort to the AM band. But lately Ive been going on AM and tuning to 666 am Radio Zinc AM. Its not bad, similar to Rebel, but more variety. The problem is where I work. I operate a 2003 John Deere tractor most of the time, and I only have a Radio / Cassette headunit in it. So I have no choice but the radio.
where i work (way out in the middle of nowhere) we are lucky to get FM, have to put up with AM crap. nightshift is either DJ Cleatus rattling off farm animal and crop prices or the 'miners overnight' request show. where we get quality songs such as:- she thinks my tractors sexy boys from the bush i miss my ex but my aims getting better driving a truck with my high heels on banjo tune from the movie 'deliverance' and more country gold, its torture i tell ya mate, if that radios got fm. get a transmitter for ya ipod that has its own power, dont get one that runs off the ciggie lighter cos the electrical noise of a tractor will mess with it big time. it will be the best 50 bucks u ever spent
I second this! Triple J ftw! Seriously, if you can't stand commercial there is a good chance you'll fall in love with triple j.
triple j is the better station compared to the likes of Nova, Fresh etc etc, mainstream drives me insane, i dont need to repeat- everyone's comments i agree on, especially the whole "play songs 5 times a day" WHEN will they ever make a metal/hvy rock station?? WHEN?! :bang:
Bah! Its just an acquired taste for people who are used to the mainsteam bullshit, or cant see the light
I might look into doing that. Thanks for the tip, dirt drifter. I dont really like Triple J either. Sometimes, on the 2 FM stations we get here (93.1 and 93.9) 93.1 plays a crap song, so you change to 93.9 to find they are playng the exact same song as 93.1 at the same time. :bang:
i work at a bakery on the weekends. because of the times i'll work, usually starting at 2am, the same playlist is played on the fox here in melbourne 2 times before 6am. We used to make bets on who can guess what the next songs is going to be. because i work casual, i noticed it every week as we all got better and better at guessing the songs because we knew the playlist off by heart. i must admit though the fox is getting a bit better with their playlists, not the music, but at least they put some different songs on some weeks lol.
lol, just reminded me of my grandparents, when they went to buy a new car, they had to make sure the radio had AM so they could listen to 1377 3mp lol.
