Hi all I have a couple of problems, I have researched all the forums and can’t get a definitive answer. Here we go first is my tacho, first I better tell you what I have VB SLE 310 pack 308 T400 sitting in my shed now for 20 years time to make a start. I have read that there are two wire behind the oil pressure and fuel gauge which there is and one of these are the tacho wire blue for oil the other one has 12v running through it so I don’t think this is it and it would be good to put it on the (neg) side of the coil.
Back in the day the yellow wire from my ignition melted all the wires together from the ignition all the way to the coil what happen not sure. I have fixed all the other wires not sure where and what the yellow wire does.
Second is my one piece tailshaft I put in back in the day but it is rubbing on the handbrake cable hitting the tunnel. Any suggestion would be great

Or if someone knows which colour wire out of the loom in the back of the cluster I could tap into would be good.

its a common complaint of one piece shafts. the back of the trans tunnel is quiet shallow due to being designed with the 2 piece shaft but usually it doesn't rub unless its lowered or its of a large diameter either way you need to mod your trans tunnel or go smaller diameter or go back to 2 piece shaft.

car looks good reminds me of my old vb sl/e.

Cheers mate I fixed my tacho I finely found the brown wire it was hooked up on the pos+ side of the coil moved it over to the neg- side now it works a treat. When I sent to the auto elec all them years ago they replace the wire with a different colour as it was melted but they hooked it up wrong side of the coil as they say if you wont it right do it yourself in so cases hey
