So I’ve recently put a Carbed 304 engine in my vp ss and I don’t have a clue how the ignition system works. I’ve had it running and timed driven it up and down the road. But then it cut out in the drive. Has no spark and I am unsure of how the ignition system works all together. Also I was told it was my ignition module. But I’m sure there isn’t one . Two wires come out of the dizzy to the coil and then there’s a positive towards the battery. Am I missing something?

Might be the fuel pump. How much of the old VP wiring loom did you reuse?

The fuel pump is running and pumping well. The previous engine was also carbureted. The loom was made to suit.

There is nothing that looks like that, but I did just see a video that said some distributors have ignition modules in them?? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll just replace it anyway

If was running for a while before it cut out I'd say the coil. Much as I hate substituting parts to solve electrical problems I'd suggest trying a new coil.
