Looking forward to seeing the VE SS version. Just a a few items on the wish list based on my ownership of the VY SS...
1- Climate control air cond (may have come out on the VZ model)
2- Sat Nav option
3- Longer lasting tyre wear (approx 40k's on 18"standard wheels running Potenzas)
4- Premium sound as standard
Would be interesting to see if they have moved to 19"wheels - roll on 2006
The Wheels photo make it look like the rejected Lovechild of the trio: AU, BA and Magna. It is UGLY.
The photo next to the Audi looks much better though
i wouldn't bag diesels too soon - the bmw 535d can pull a 0-100 time of 6.5 seconds while maintaining fuel consumption around 8lt/100km combined cycle. all from a car that weighs over 1800kg.
It would take some getting used to. I never used to like VT's when they first came out, but things change, yknow?
Before the HQ was released, it was shown to a viewing audience, who hated it because it was too 'soft', but it was too late to change the design.
The replacement (HJ) was designed with bolder lines, but when it was released it was disliked cause everyone had grown to love the old 'Q....
History has proved the HQ was the prettiest of all the HQ-HZ's. I'm fact this give's me and idea for some research : ) I'll make a poll to see what it the prettiest model in each set of Commodores VB-VL, VN-VS and VT-VZ
To, me the european styling isn't as "meaty" as the australian model car.
Just look at the difference between a Vauxhall Omega and the VN through to the VX. The Vauxhall Omega is aweful, and driving the VX around here, you get ALOT of looks. If you park the car, you are guaranteed to have a bunch of people going, "Man it looks like an Omega, but it is SOOOO much nicer".
I don't know what exactly it is with european modelling, but just don't look sexy to me.
