Do you want to convert it to disc brake rear? If so then yes the handbrake cable is different to drum brake rear. The wheel bearings are also different. Do a search on this forum and you will find plenty of information on rear disc brake conversions.

i have done the convert man., as tree cutter has stated above..
Disks, Calipers, Flex Hoses and Backing plates can come from a VN commodore from wreckers and rebuild the calipers yourself.
New Brake Pads, Bearings, (need access to a press to press them on)
Handbrake cable u need to source. Hard to find as most wreckers have sold them. The drum one does not fit and the Vn 1 is too long.
Goodluck man. ill send u a link to my thread on it.
