I need help, I'm installing hsv ve gauges and I can't seem to get the lights to turn off. Going by car modded tap into the body module but I can't do that. It's too hard basket. Is there a easier way?

Illumination wire I connected it to body module pin 24 brown plug.

When gm LAN + wire is disconnected, the lights for the gauges work like they should on and off etc. but when I connect the gm LAN + wire the lights won't turn off, they stay on even if I turn the headlights off.

Bottom right hand side under head unit.youll see the white plug.thats for the smokers pack.sounds like your gauges are getting a 12v+constant power source from some where else.

Ok so I ran 12v ignition wire to power to that white plug u said. Lights work like they should on off etc but if the gm LAN + wire is connected to pin 3 black brown the volts start working but I can't turn the lights off. Lights only turn off when gm LAN + is disconnected. I can turn them off and on etc

I have checked my wiring and checked it again the only thing I can come up with is that when gm LAN + wire is connect that it's doing two things giving power to lights on the gauges and also making the gauges work. Gm LAN - does the same I just found out

No I've done something bad. Lost communication with abs control module. Now nothing works. Car says abs fault, ESP off, contact dealer, could this be a fuse? Or have I done something I going to regret

All sorted was a fuse. Gave up on the install, I just whacked it all back together, everything is working except I can't turn the lights off. Over it.
