Hey guys

I have my battery in the boot and today i connected the pos and neg terminals the wrong way around (i know ive been having a **** go all day!!!)

Its a Vs statesman v6

Now from what ive seen no fueses were busted except for the ones on my amp. My amp will not turn on now even after replacing the fuses and same with my headunit (i havnt checked if the fuse is busted yet on it)

The alternator smelt very very bad and i think its prob f@ucked now.

My interior light on the roof wont work.
My boot button on my key wont open the boot but lock and unlock doors works.
My dash is very dull and has nearly every light lit up on it such as abs, engine light, airbag, etc

Can anyone tell me what to check for to get them all working properly again? Would my computer be ****ed? I started the car right after i had the terminals on the wrong way so i dont have a clue! Was booked in for a tune and now this happens :(

Any help would be appreciated.

VN V6, nothing special
probably change all fuses and alternator..... maybe even use a different battery that you know is 100% good?

worth a shot and just hope you haven't fried the wiring....

Wow ive never seen or heard of anyone doing this..
Keep us updated on how you go with this.
It would be a fair bet that every fault code in the computer would have been triggered, these will have to be reset. either by holden or a repuitable repairer.
If the fuse on the back of the deck is blown it wont turn on, therefore the amp wont turn on.
The tuning place will possibly be able to help you, at a price of cause.

I found two burnt fuses on the amp and one on the headunit. Apart from that no other fuses.

Battery was stuffed so i charged it up and is all fine now. Everything works perfect except my alternator is blown so $300 for a new one lol

Lucky, you got off lightly, it could have been real bad. $300 sounds a bit expensive.

Car start? got power to acc? how about on?

Id say amps arnt working due to trigger or constant not working... time to get friendly with a multimeter :)
