I cant remember the exact speed "around 50" i thought, so it must have been higher because that baby redlined like a bitch

I didnt know you could do 65 in 1st, needless to say i wouldnt want to try it

Nah, nah, bull right, I can even drift the London Bus. Actually, when I was a kid, the bus driver drifted the bus round a corner at the bottom of the hill. He overturned it, silly bugger. Lucky nobody was killed and the cops did'nt breathalize at accidents back then! ;);)

bzzzzt incorrect answer. there are a number of ways to induce a drift, and the handbrake is one of them.

best bet if you are keen is take a look at the movie "drift Bible".

shows 4 or 5 different styles of drifting and steps on how to do them in different types of cars

Dude, you can't whack it back into 1st without serious shifting ie. double clutching. I really don't know how you did that.

I was just looking at the capadrift site. Anyone checked it out? it has clips of the Capadrift ute in action against some rice.Man that car goes well. sounds awsome aswell. 1022rwhp. There is one clip of him in the drivers seat drifting so you can see how he does it. he used the handbrake once or twice. http://www.capadrift.com.au/downloads_feb05_wakefield.htm

lol your assuming you have fuel in the tank....

went round a round about today hit a patch of water and ended up "drifting" unintentionally...

    *shakes fist at fuel prices*
thats what i get for having less than 5L of fuel in the car

i agree, drifting isnt just going sideways, its controling the car smoothly whilst it goes sideways

to do this alot of practice is required and to do it in a daily driver is stupid, buy your self a cheap SH&% trashed vn and go to the track and do it,

i agree on the stiffer springs... with the kinda body roll stock springs provide you wont drift, it will lean.. then when you least expect it you'll loose control and probbly smack yourself into a pole.....

my cars on its ass, and it still struggles to pull a controlled drift... probbly because its auto and im not experianced enough or stupid enough to enter a corner on the street at a high speed then try to go sideways...

yeah nah, 1st wont make 65... not without serious serious damage...

youd be pushing high 2nd gear, this is T5 ratios anyway.

lol, old thread much ^^ You don't need a hot car to drift, just some good rains, LSD, and a long driveway ;)
