i work 9 1/2 hours and only get paid for 8, legal?

In my contract it states that I work a 38 hour week but am expected to do "a reasonable amount of unpaid overtime". I wanted the job so i signed it.

I did the same thing...as wrong as it is, I needed a job, and desperate times called for desperate measures.
